Mustafa was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and earned both his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Urban Planning from Japan. He is currently working as a Planner with a government entity in Virginia.

Negina was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) from Shenandoah University in the United States and is currently working with a private organization in Virginia.
